With tearful eyes and a heavy heart, Anupama tenderly says her final farewell, leaving behind the Shah house that has been her home for so long.
The episode begins with Maya overhearing Ankush talking to Anu. Ankush tells her that her mother will be going to the US in three days and asks if she will miss her. Anu nods in agreement. Ankush points out that Anu tends to distance herself from her mother, which ends up hurting her. Anu responds by saying that when Ankush had left, her mother had happily sent him off, so she should also bid her farewell with happiness so that she can leave on a positive note. Ankush advises her to become the younger sister she used to be, leaving Maya feeling upset.
Kinjal expresses her gratitude to Kavya and gives her a hug, mentioning that everyone will be happy when she returns. Baa reminds her that her father-in-law will be angry, and Anupama agrees, while Pakhi advises her friend Dimple not to make the same mistakes she did and to bond with the family. Dimple, in turn, tells Pakhi to handle her husband and in-laws.
Dimple’s husband suggests taking a family selfie before Anupama leaves for dinner at the Kapadia house. Anupama becomes sad, saying that she will go after an hour and jokingly asks if they want to bid her farewell so soon. They assure her that it’s not the case.
Meanwhile, Anuj eagerly waits for Anupama, feeling that the six-hour wait is becoming longer. The lights flicker, and he asks the servant to check it. Anupama asks Baa how she will manage to take so many things with her. Baa insists that she must take everything. Anupama becomes emotional and hugs her, expressing how much she will miss her. She checks the time and realizes she needs to leave now. Baa cries, and Anupama asks for her gift. Baa replies that she has already given her so many things. Anupama insists, saying that it’s something special and asks everyone to give her their gifts. Anupama thanks everyone for the beautiful gifts, the day, and the party. Vanraj presents her with ghungroo (anklets) and mentions that it’s from him. Anupama recalls the moment when Vanraj had thrown the ghungroo at a mirror. Vanraj acknowledges that he had always held her back, but now he is giving her the ghungroo, not as a husband, but as a friend, suggesting she keep it just in case. Anupama thanks him and mentions that she has brought something for everyone as well. She explains that letter-writing is not common these days, but letters can express feelings in a unique way. She asks them to imagine that she has poured her heart out in each letter and requests them to read them after she leaves. They express their gratitude, and Anupama announces that she will now take her leave.
As the song “Baghban” plays, she hugs her children and family members. The kids hold onto her pallu (sari’s loose end) and beg her not to go. Vanraj separates the pallu from their grasp. Kavya brings flower petals and showers them on Anupama as she exits the house. Anupama looks at everyone’s tearful faces, waves goodbye, and departs.
As everyone opens their respective letters, they begin to read the heartfelt messages from Anupama. Baa reads her letter, in which Anupama urges her to take care of herself and also look after Kavya, as she needs Baa’s support now more than ever. Dimpy reads her letter, where Anupama encourages her to find a place in everyone’s hearts, just like Kinjal has done. Paritosh reads his letter, in which Anupama asks him to take on the responsibility of taking care of Pari, especially considering Kinjal’s decision, and to handle it well. Kinjal reads her letter, filled with praise from Anupama, who reminds her to always remember that she is a woman with her own identity, alongside her other relationships. Samar reads his letter, in which Anupama expresses her trust in him to take care of Dimple and to remain focused on his dance academy. Kavya reads her letter, in which Anupama implores her to prioritize her own well-being and that of her baby, and assures her that she can always call Anupama whenever she needs support, without worrying about the time. Vanraj reads his letter, which acknowledges their complex relationship as husband and wife, friends, and even enemies, but emphasizes the importance of never becoming strangers, as they need to come together for the sake of their children, Baa, and Babu ji. Anupama expresses hope that they can meet as friends in the future and asks Vanraj to take care of himself and Kavya. She also wishes him the best of luck for becoming a father once again. Adhik and Pakhi read their letters. In Adhik’s letter, Anupama asks him to give Pakhi a chance and assures him that she is making an effort, urging him to take care of himself as well. In Pakhi’s letter, Anupama encourages her not to lose courage and assures her that everything will be fine between her and Adhik. She promises to bridge the gap between them, emphasizing their mother-daughter bond. Anupama concludes by mentioning Anuj and expressing that she is coming to bid him farewell.

Anuj is about to perform aarti (a Hindu ritual) for Anupama when Maya interrupts by throwing the ceremonial plate and blaming Anupama. Anupama demands a clear explanation from Maya, who claims that Anuj is getting close to Anupama and presents some papers as evidence. Anuj steps forward in front of Anupama, and Maya, filled with anger, asks why he doesn’t die. In response, Anuj slaps her.
