#TwitterDown – Elon Musk Explains

Hey, so you know Twitter, right? Well, there was a problem with it recently. Thousands of people from different countries couldn’t use it or had trouble using it on Saturday. It was a big deal and many people talked about it on the app. They used hashtags like “Rate Limit Exceeded” and “#TwitterDown.”

People started noticing the problem around 8 am in the morning, and it got worse as time went on. A website called DownDetector showed that over 7,400 people reported issues with Twitter. It was a bit of a mess!

But then, Elon Musk, who is a very rich person and owns Twitter, tweeted about it. He said that they had to put some temporary limits on the site because of some bad things happening. People were scraping a lot of data and manipulating the system, which is not good.

He said that verified accounts, which are like important people on Twitter, could only read 6,000 posts a day. But regular, unverified accounts could only read 600 posts a day. That’s not a lot! And new unverified accounts could only read 300 posts a day. Musk also said that he will soon increase the limits a little bit.

People were really annoyed with these problems and they showed it on Twitter. They used hashtags like “Wtf Twitter” and “Thanks Elon” to express their frustration.

This isn’t the first time Twitter has had issues like this. It happened before in March too, and lots of people complained back then as well.

So yeah, Twitter had some troubles, but they are trying to fix things and make it better for everyone.
